Dressing for Miami

My friend Aimee and her husband were invited to a very swanki wedding in Miami in March. She showed me the inviation and it was gorgeous; the postage alone for the invite was over $4! So now she is on the hunt for a cute dress to wear but is unsure on the atire, the invite said something like wear your bling but no black tie. What does that mean? Long or short, classic or trendy?
