Classy Halloween

Chris and I have decided to have a Halloween Bash, and it's my goal to keep it as classy as possible. As a color test for the party I bought these orange roses yesterday at the metro for $5, I think they will work perfect for halloween.
*** Update... since my sister thinks that's lame I wanted to clarify that it will still be very spoooooky and have a halloween feel, it just won't be cheesy halloween.

I'm with you on trying to keep it classy. I'm hosting a Halloween party at my home too. I'm going with the "elegorror" theme which I'm told is a mix of elegance and horror. I think your orange roses are a perfect idea. I considered purchasing several dozen white roses or hydrangeas to dye them black and orange using food coloring but since I've never actually done it before, I'm kinda hesitant. I'm told it's easy though. Anyway, I hope you share photos of your event afterwards. I can't wait to see the outcome. Judging by your taste, I know it will look fabulous. Happy Holidays

beaux mondes thanks so much!!! I too thought of black roses but then thought where do you get black roses? I didn't know you could dye them, I have heard of floral spray paint but I thought that might be too much work and too messy. I then later found these black roses htp://www.fiftyflowers.com/product/Black-Roses-Tinted_156.htm
For now I'm going to stick with the orange, I would love to post more about the party but I don't want to give too much away for those attending. Please also post about your party I would love too see.

Hello again Loda. I found instructions online on how to color any flower using food dye. I posted it on my "events" blog. I'm gonna give it a try maybe this weekend and let you know how it turned out just in case you decide to try it in the future. I will definitely share photos of the party on my blog. Stay tuned.
